ON SALE NOW Made to Move Forum and Education Events

Tickets are now on sale for our Made to Move Forum in Wellington on 9 February and our Open Classes and Ballet for Boys

Made to Move Forum

For Wellington ballet lovers, there's a chance to learn more about Made to Move from the choreographers themselves, in a forum led by RNZB Education on Saturday 9 February.

The forum will include a relaxed discussion with a panel of the company's artistic and production staff. You will have the opportunity to explore all aspects of the work with choreographers Ethan Stiefel, Andrew Simmons and Javier De Frutos and designers Allan Lees and Kate Venables. Combined with a tour of the Royal New Zealand Ballet wardrobe department you will learn how a new ballet is put together, from design to realisation in all facets of the production.

Saturday 9 February, 2 - 4pm, RNZB studios at the St James Theatre

Tickets are $30 each and strictly limited. To make a booking, please click here.

Open Classes and Ballet for Boys

Passionate ballet students can learn from the artists of the RNZB during an open class. Open classes around Made to Move are available in the following centres:

Wellington - Saturday 2 March

Auckland - Sunday 10 March

Palmerston North - Sunday 17 March

Classes are $25 each. To make a booking, please click here.

Male dance students often work in isolation in New Zealand. Ballet for Boys is a fantastic opportunity for boys to meet and work with professional male role models. Boys aged 10 years and over can meet the male dancers of the Royal New Zealand Ballet, watch them in company class and then participate in an open class. The RNZB is currently hosting Ballet for Boys on the following dates:

Wellington - Sunday 24 February

Auckland - Saturday 9 March

Classes are $25 each. To make a booking, please click here.
