We’re currently on the search for a full time Office and Education Administrator, based in our Wellington home the St James, reporting into the Chief Financial Officer.
In this role you will be be a key face of the RNZB promoting it in a positive way, overseeing the efficient day to day operation of the office and being a welcoming first port of call to visitors and those contacting RNZB. Providing a high level of administrative support to all RNZB teams, as well as low level IT support.
This role is also the Co-Chair of our staff Health and Safety Committee.
You will assist the Education and Community Engagement Manager with the delivery of the RNZB Education and outreach programme. This includes effectively and efficiently coordinating the subsidised transport arrangements for all High EQI schools attending the RNZB School Matinee Performances nationwide.

- Love all things admin and thrive on helping others’ roles run more smoothly
- Are IT savvy and capable of providing low-level mobile phone, PC and laptop support
- Have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills and are skilled at building strong, trusting, connecting relationships
- Are a self-starter with a “can-do” attitude, able to work autonomously and anticipate the administrative needs of the company
- Have experience and/or an interest in health and safety
- Have an interest in working with schools and young audiences
- Would like the opportunity to develop experience in event delivery
- Have a genuine interest in the arts/ballet
Who and what are we looking for?
- Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft office suite
- Experience with WordFly, JotForm, Google Forms and in using CRM systems for record keeping, list management and financial processing, preferably Tessitura.
- Minimum 2 years office administration experience
- IT savvy capable of providing low-level mobile phone, PC and laptop support
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with excellent communication
- Emotional Intelligence and able to build strong trusting relationships, connecting across the company
- Tidy and well organised
- Initiative and curiosity about how to improve systems and procedures
- Experience in the area of health & safety administration
