The Royal New Zealand Ballet presents two extraordinary productions this season – the visually stunning The Firebird and the powerful My Brilliant Career, presented in association with Avis.

Loughlan Prior’s The Firebird returns to the stage, reimagining the classic fairytale in a dystopian world where water is more valuable than gold, featuring breathtaking designs and Stravinsky’s iconic score performed live in select cities. Complementing this spectacle is the New Zealand premiere of Cathy Marston’s My Brilliant Career, a deeply moving one-act ballet based on Miles Franklin’s beloved novel, exploring one woman’s determination to carve her own path.
